The FCC announced last week that they will open a third Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) application window on April 28th which will close at 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 13th. There is a minimum of $1 billion available to provide up to $400 per end user devices including laptops, Chromebooks, or tablets. The available funding can also be used for recurring services such as Wi-Fi hotspots and bus Wi-Fi for up to 12 additional months on top of what has already been funded. This order will allow for equipment and services to be delivered within the 18-month span from July 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023.
