The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) announced the E-Rate and Rural Health Care (RHC) programs’ funding caps for funding year 2021. The new caps represent a 1.2% inflation-adjusted increase in each program cap from funding year 2020.
The FCC is seeking comment on the recent $7.171 Billion that Congress passed as part of the recently enacted American Rescue Plan (March, 2021).
These new caps represent a 1.2% inflation-adjusted increase year commitments and upfront payments from funding year 2020.
The House passed the American Rescue Plan on March 10th and the bill is expected to be signed by President Biden on Friday March 12.
