A Tribute to Our Founder Jane Kellogg

Kellogg & Sovereign® Consulting, LLC (“K&S”) was originally formed in 1996 and for 25 years Jane worked side by side with her daughter, Deborah Sovereign, to build our business focused on schools, libraries, and healthcare.

Jane laid the groundwork for the state’s earliest distance learning infrastructure and assisted in designing the Oklahoma State Department’s first website.

K&S has grown to over 400 clients in 24 states.

Well-known and respected throughout the industry, Jane Kellogg was a visionary. A mentor. A mother. A friend. Her legacy is not just found in the companies she built, or the programs she pioneered. It’s found in the connections she nurtured, the students she helped reach, the communities she uplifted, and the family she loved so deeply.

Our founder, Jane B. Kellogg, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025. Her contributions to our company, our industry and to our community are indispensable.

Jane was proud of Kellogg & Sovereign Consulting’s accomplishments and pleased we have continued her legacy, opening doors for our clients across the country.

Client Testimonials:

From David Altom – IT Director Duncan PS (OK)

I was deeply saddened when I was made aware of the loss of my friend. Jane was a pioneer. A true visionary for all that is K12 and beyond. We first met when Duncan PS was awarded a 50 thousand dollar grant to launch a new distance learning program from our high school. I was given her name because she was involved in this new technology, so I reached out to her for advice. I told her about our equipment, and she insisted we meet because she knew we had incredible potential. She was instrumental in guiding us into what eventually became Virtual or Distance Learning. Jane made a significant impact on Duncan PS. We are better today than most schools in the state and I have my dear friend Jane to thank for that.

I will truly miss you,

David
