Funds for Learning Provides Preliminary 2019 Survey Results

On June 18,2019, Funds for Learning (FFL) shared preliminary results of a nationwide survey of E-Rate applicants conducted in spring 2019.
According to Funds For Leraning, 1,763 individuals participated in teh 2019 survey. Overall results showed increase in bandwidth with decreased costs for "Category One" requests. For Category Two services, applicants expressed the need for a higher per student cap along with the ability to use the "Category Two" budget funding support district-wide instead of the current per campus limitation.
FFL also discussed concerns regarding the proposed master cap for the Universal Service Fund and the Texas Carriers petition to change the competitive bidding rules for fiber networks.
